2025-26 Russian Grand Prix Final

Zhenya was attempting 4Lz at the warm-up but it didn't work out so he skated with a 4Lo not warming it up.

Genuine question, do you guys think that was the lowest level Russian women's event in many, many years? I didn't watch the FS replays yet but I don't remember such generally low scores in a very long time.

Based on the scorecard Muravieva really sold... :(

Is Andrei one of the most popular names? There are 5 Andreevna out of 12 skaters.

Channel One Cup is going to be SPb vs Moscow
SPB will mop the floor with Moscow in men, while Moscow will probably do the same in women.
I love though that there is more diversity in women now. It isn't just Moscow vs SPB anymore.

I agree, but I think it also depends on how many skaters per discipline. Mark is an excellent team player + Grigoriy can be a formidable team. And you neve know with this crop of women.

The fact that the patronymic is common usually means that the name was popular some time ago, not at the moment. But yes, it is a very common name.

Well, yes...really was a terrible event. Dzepka would've won this with her score from the jgpf. It will be interesting to see how things go next season with Pleskacheva and Dzepka moving up + Sasha and Kami returning. Right now, the level of the senior women is feels like it's the lowest it's been in like, a decade

It was a very weak competition.

The bronze medalist should have really won this. Corrupt scoring, because Sadkova was a mess, as was Dvoeglazova. Mura just keeps missing out on medals by like 0.01 points which is super frustrating for the fans because she just gives up in the second part of the program, she doesn't seem to be fighting. Needs to try harder.

I agree, Kamilla was robbed of the gold here...and Sadkova shouldn't have even been on the podium. Well, it is what it is. I suppose good for Alisa, since her quads clearly won't survive next season (same with Sadkova, whose quad barely exists)

Watched replay. IDK about robbed of gold. Dvoeglazova gets generous scoring but Kamila's composition and presentation are not at their peak either.
