Info 2026 World Figure Skating Championships

Maybe someone here will go tomorrow when it's officially open and tell us more.
Tthey had airport like scanners at Olympics too but they were ok. No food no bottles though but that's normal in Europe for all kind of events

Team Japan made it. Love Kaori's sunflower hoodie (and her bright smile).

so do we know who the judges are , the tech panelists ? I mean, we know the countries for the judges...

Day 2 review,

Today we received our outfits, had some great food and were given several trainings.

Ofc I can not go too much into details, but it was very interesting and you can see how proud the people here are to host such an event.

The food was great, everyone is kind and we men are clearly outnumbered by our ladies in the team.

I had a brief look at the merchandise, there is some nice stuff you can buy, like shirts, bags, mascots and so on.

Even the practice rink is huge, I met team Japan and many familiar faces.

They have a cocktail bar with things like Cuba libre in case you feel like it.

If you enter the arena, your bags are scanned, visitors are not allowed to bring food or bottles, cameras and the usual.

They have boxes outside the venue if you have prohibited items, you can store them there.

The kindness of people here is amazing, now I have to sleep, since I start early tomorrow.

If you have questions ask, but don't ask internal stuff since I won't answer those.

I think the start order for men may look something like this (by ISU World Ranking)

I was mocking it up for predictions only and too many are confused so it was removed

Please correct/educate me if I am wrong...
You are looking at the seasons ranking and not the World ranking.

The ISU list says World Ranking here
Title is ISU Season's World Ranking Men Overall
:confused2:
It's these ones that they use for the World Standings:
Men - https://results.isu.org/ws/ws/wsmen.htm
Women - https://results.isu.org/ws/ws/wswomen.htm
Pairs - https://results.isu.org/ws/ws/wspairs.htm
Ice Dance - https://results.isu.org/ws/ws/wsdance.htm

I like those ones better than how they lay them out on the new site, easier for copying and pasting. Putting World Standings on the Season Ranking is confusing.

About those lockers for bags - would you say there are enough of them? Because I will be with a backpack and I'm wondering if I should panic and arrive super early to make sure I'll have some place to store it 😬

I think you should arrive super early. There is a box outside the arena, I saw only one, there might be more
