Technically this was decent by his standards, but somewhat pedestrian and cautious overall. Any way, nice redemption

Good job Ilia! That’s another World title. Ilia was tight in the beginning, but started to relax as the program went on. The jumps in the second half were better than the ones in the first.

That meant so much to Ilia, happy for him that he had his redemption skate just like Kaori! Despite being a Yuma stan I also am kind of glad it turned out like this in a masochistic, twisted way, then Yuma also knows having to go for the full kitchen sink including quads he's not comfortable with WAS still his only option at the olys because the truth remains that he can't catch up to Ilia without the additional quad and he can't just rely on Ilia having the kind of meltdown he had at the olys
