It is not an ISU document. I just spent a whole post explaining exactly what it is, and neither the abbreviation ISU nor the full term International Skating Union ever appeared.

Just a thought, but it might help a little if instead of writing statements about Olympic committees selecting former podium athletes to the Olympics, if you posed questions so that people knew that you were asking rather than telling. You made what appeared to be statements that many of us took us such and were confused by them.

Tone of voice is always difficult to tell on a message board but this sounds pretty pissy to me. I'm not quite sure what information you're expecting people to give here unless they've been involved in the sub-committee before or unless they have a crystal ball. (mine doesn't appear to be working well of late :p) These are all closed doors affairs and no-one will ever know the deliberations that actual go on here.

Seniorita, I just want to mention how much I enjoy and appreciate your posts. You always write with good humor and a joie de vivre. :agree: Plus, you never get dragged down into the snarky spitting contests that some of these threads degererate into.
 
I dont want to ruin seriousness of topics, maybe I take speculations and rules less seriously than most, but never figure skating! But I take notes! :)
Ant I see you live in Uk, you probably like Bee Gees, Joy Division, James, Chemical Brothers and Oasis, and you also like Joubert. Cant see much more now, it is foggy and the eye of Tarasova gets in my way.;)

Snarky, spitting contests on a FIGURE SKATING board? Pish posh... that's like implying european football matches are a bit rowdy... as if!!! :laugh::laugh:

And Seniorita - I totally agree with MM and Dee - you are awesome!

(I still say that fans can moan & groan about what's fair, random rules and the depth of the US ladies program all they want - if Sasha shows up with a solid 5 / 6 triple program she'll win Nationals and head off to the games... its Figure Skating people!! Don't you know how this game is played by now??!!)

And I simply can't get over the fact that Messi, the dwarf of European club football sealed the victory for Barca with a header :p.

ABSOLUTELY Sat right here in my office and watched it... I simply love Barcelona!! And cheered when I heard that Thiery Henry and his wife divorced (I know, my husband told me just how wrong I was... he even shook his head at me - that's MY go to move...the schmuck.)

I really love Barca, I admire how they build up their own players. They also have international stars, but lots of Barca players are from Barca, made by Barca.
 
My tone of voice is not unlike others, but this is not the issue. Whether one likes Sasha or not the USFS has accepted her for an SA and the US Nats. I don't think they had a choice to refuse her. If she fulfils the requirements for being a part of the Team, so be it. I'm not against her. It's time to move on with this, imo.

I know... I'm an awful person... but I LOVE THAT MAN!!!

Please keep us posted on your game attendance progress!!!

And I totally agree about the strength of the Barca program. Very cool. There is a rumor that they are openning a youth academy in Florida. If so, I've already promised my son a chance to attend a camp. If you see a kid on a road with a sign that says: will play soccer for food you will know that he was accepted!! (I don't know how "regular" parents afford skating...)
