Yes, this is indeed the question. And no, it isn't possible at this age to fix all of her (serious technical) issues in a single season...and she hasn't even had that long. However, I don't think in her first competitive showing, she needs to have EVERY problem cleanly fixed in order to show improvement. Just skating with speed and getting rid of the worst of the mule-kick, and landing most jumps cleanly, would be enough for most people to nod with encouragement and say "OK, great start." However, if she shows little sign of improvement on any front, you should expect some rather merciless comments on the forums.
FWIW, Richard Dornbush decisively won the Men's gold at JGP Dresden, and I think Tammy Gambill is his coach. So, she obviously knows something on the technical side. Hopefully she has found a way to successfully handle both Caroline and Mama Zhang.
