It's good to know that Asia has many talents to come. Let's wait and see.I don't know if this video has been posted or not when we discussed novice skaters. This little boy Jun Hwan CHA from South Korea is just amazing. His body feature resembles that of Yuzu and his posture is better (I think).

not anyone can be Plushenko (I love Plushy, but frankly I've always thought he should have retired 4 years ago). And even though I love Yagudin very much, I pretty much seconded his decision to retire at the age of 23.I don't know if this video has been posted or not when we discussed novice skaters. . Like Yuzuru, he has this ability for people to notice every little thing he does as well as great commitment and energy to his program. Definitely someone to watch out for. we can see other kids with excellent jumps, too. It's good to know that Asia has many talents to come. Let's wait and see.
Anyways, by the time this boy compete in the senior, Yuzuru might have retired already. You know the skating career of skaters in single discipline.not anyone can be Plushenko (I love Plushy, but frankly I've always thought he should have retired 4 years ago). I've seen him on Yuna's show before..I think. He good but I don't like holding onto hope for kids under 15 because many of them gets buried before even making it to seniorsI don't know if this video has been posted or not when we discussed novice skaters. And posture wise....
I think alot of people have better posture than Yuzuru lol he's a sloucher.
I want something fun and exciting for his music because its the start of a new quad, the time you can just relax and have a bit of fun before the olympic pressure builds again.
Come to think of it, people often say Yuzuru is notable for his jumps. But personally I think he is notable for his spins. I mean, after watching his young performances and compare to other kids at the same age (from 10 to 12), it's not the jumps that stood out in his performance in his young age, it's the spins. we can see other kids with excellent jumps, too.
Yuzuru didn't actually stand out with his jumps until, I guess, he reached the age of 13-14 (when he started to master 3A). If we talk about the jumps, then on any good day, all the guys can jump very well. Denis Ten can jump very well, too, even higher than Yuzuru sometimes. Javi can jump very well, too. So it's not just the jumps that make Yuzuru special.
I mean when he was small, it's not his jumps that stood out, but his spins. At the same age (10-13) there could be other mini skaters with better jumps than Yuzuru but for some reason, they couldn't develop it like Yuzuru. Yuzuru has beautiful spins even at the age of 10. And I haven't seen that with other boys at same age. Even the boy in the above video clip. That's why I said Yuzuru's spins are special. He might have to focus too much on his jumps now, so sometimes his spins receive level 3, but mostly he receives level 4 for his spins.Yuzuru stands out as a technician, but its not the types of jumps he can execute but the difficulty of his jumps is what puts him above the rest IMO. His GOE is unmatched (Patrick on a good day can get pretty close though) and no else can back load their programs with difficult combo like Yuzuru can and nail them almost perfectly. Even Han Yan's GOE on his 3A, on average, is lower than Yuzuru's. I think that's what sets him apart and makes him special.
By the way, I learned that DW choreographed for Nobu's SP in 2005 with the music of Barbiere di Siviglia. Very impressive! Share with you all.

). The spins he has now gives him the levels that he needs because it hits those 4 bullets so its doubtful he will divert too far from that.I mean when he was small, it's not his jumps that stood out, but his spins. When Yuzuru won gold at worlds junior 2010, his jumps have become so big and beautiful, much much better than his peers and that was very unpredictable for the level of his jumps at the age of 10 (when he was 10, no one could predict his jumps would be like that when he reached 14-15 years old). I hope with better basic skills, Yuzuru's spins will improve, too.

:Oh, by the way, Yukari said in the interview with Yuzuru that her Firebird costume was the one inspired by Yuzuru's Firebird costume. That's nice :yay:

I agree with you. I just remeber his great spins when he was in novice/junior category. His jumps were also good when succeeded, but he also hell a lot
Everybody is talking about his Biellmann spins, but I adore his donut spins. That reminded me of Yukari Nakano who was famous for her beautiful donut spins. Mens skaters usually do not have such amazing flexibility with consistency.

I must say, Yuzuru's donut spin may be even better than hers:
Shizuka Arakawa also noted in the interview with Yuzuru that she had received strong impression from his spins, more than jumps.

I hope he will stop doing the Bielmann spin next season. He might need it for Juliet program, but next season he will do new ones so that spin might not be needed anymore. I hope he knows what is right for his body.I think I read somewhere where Yuzuru said that doing the Bielmann spin is getting harder right now for him. everytime I see him doing it, his speed getting slower, idk I could be wrong.
