Hope she will come back with a strong FSAdvanced Novice Girls SP

Marin missed the combo again. She could be doing things unnecessarily difficult.
It is so sad that so many good skaters here in the US and everywhere fall to the wayside due to lack of funding. Imagine this - if every slumping MLB (or any professional sports team) player with a multi year, multi million $$ contract had to forfeit a year's salary due to bad performance, just think how many skaters world wide would benefit.Michael is in California (Anaheim) - he just posted a message on FB that he hadn't been training in the past months due to lack of funds, and is still waiting for funds to be released so he can train with his coaches for the Grand Prix.

The choreo itself is actually quite good - a lot of transitions for a junior program, no telegraphing, interesting layout of the elements. agree on the music choice. She needs more speed and energy to make that music work but since it's her first competition of the season perhaps it'll get better later on. And I wouldn't be surprised if she's practicing 3A as she's mentioned that she wants one. Thanks for the links, NMURA!
Love the power in Wakaba's jumps, especially 2A (it looks like she could jumpa 3A!) and 3Lz. I enjoyed the improved speed in her skating and nice acceleration in her layback spin. However, I'm not sure if this is the best choice of music for her - it's very frenetic and it would probably take Akiko Suzuki to match the crazy tempo.
Her edges looked good to me as well - another Japanese lady with a true lutz :')In terms of music choice and choreo I enjoyed Yuna's program a bit more. Plus, while she didn't attempt a 3-3, her jumping technique looked very clean to me and she seemed to have good edges on both 3Lz and 3F.
I don't think results for Jr Men's SP have been posted yet, so:looks like Kamata is the winner of Jr men SP.
(no wonder Nitaya beat Higuchi with only a 3t3t, Higuchi had a 3f3t<. rethink layout for Higuchi?)

I love her skating, but let's give her time to mature at her own pace
