I think it's a bit of an overreaction to call the fans who went to Fernandez's fanmeeting "rude" or "insensitive as hell" for asking about how Hanyu is doing. If it was the only thing they talked about, yes, that's disrespectful, but I 100% doubt that it was anything more than a "oh, I know Yuzuru is injured, is he doing okay?", to which he answered and then everyone moved on.
Twitter/Instagram is a bit of different story, but I just went through his tweets/pictures from the past ~2 months and there was maybe 4 irrelevant comments about Hanyu in total (although I did find some of your tweets
KansaiPJ!

). Compared to however many other comments he gets that's probably less than 3% of all comments. It's annoying, but it's not nearly the level of obnoxious disrespect that went on around the Olympics, and I think that Fernandez as an
adult, who is training mates and friends with Hanyu, can understand that maybe Hanyu has some overeager young fans (which really, comes with the territory of going on SNS).
If you find someone's tweets/comments particularly annoying then maybe you can just message them yourself? Instead of talking about it on GS when nobody on GS are the ones sending these kinds of messages. I don't mean to sound curt, but it's not like this is the first time this conversation has happened.

Wanted to actually add something of substance, so here's a tweet with a newspaper article: In a survey of 1000 men and 1000 women ages 15-69, the top five favourite sports athletes are 1) Ichiro 2) Asada Mao 3) Nishikori Kei
4) Hanyu Yuzuru and 5) Tanaka Masahiro. Hanyu moved up from 30th last year to 4th this year
