wow, Yura was such a nice surprise, she has such elegant style, she was floating on the ice, Yuna was great too apart from some tight landings :cheer:

i really enjoy Alisa too but her Lutz here was totally inside edge ( at least to my untrained eye)
overall i think judges and tech panel were little generous, i know they are different competitions but top 4 girls here have almost same PCS as Satoko got at US Classic :slink:

Oh lord, this is completely laughable. Serafima had a mild stepout.

You can see it in slow motion. Even the announcer said deep inside edge goes to outside. Alisha is a flutzer. With no deduction.

edit to add, it was strange to hear deep inside edge goes to outside. can't even process that.

She starts from an inside edge and switches to the outside edge... the question at hand is if she switches back. The fact you're trying to cite the announcer kind of shows you're not really getting it. I don't think you can at all from this angle at all. Other said she flutzed at her last JGP though when it look at it head on and stop it at the point her toe pick hits the ground I think it's clearly an outside edge.

I feel the technical panels at this season's JGPS are a bit too lenient in general, both on underrotations and F/Lz .

When I step through frame by frame from 46 where she has a very clear outside edge to 51 where her toepick hits I do not see an change of edge at all.

46= changing back from the outside to the inside edge 51 = inside edge. Clear outside edge = go watch yuna kim, polina tsurskaya, elena radionova, you name it. That's not a real lutz.
ps. I love discussions, but this one is getting tiresome, I really like Alisa and I don't really care for these details in general. Last post about it, I swear :laugh:

Wow...I'd be upset if anybody got more than a 1pt deduction for such a minor error but I do enjoy major Lolz when people get all worked up over them. It's like a microsecond of the entire jump not to mention the entire program. The panels really should continue to ease up on this stuff and make the sport more enjoyable. It was not even close to a flip and just a hint of inside edge.

Wakaba probably has the worst lip of anyone and it drives me nuts to see her overly punished for it. Not cool in my books. If the punishment were fair then the panels could be more consistent but I don't blame the less stringent ones one bit!

I deleted my post because I wasn't nearly as sure on rewatching it as I was initially and was working on rewriting it... but I still don't see a clear edge change at all.
