What a solid lineup! I'm excited for this one after that mess at Skate Canada.

Pulling hardest for Elena and Anna! :gclap: Hope Zijun is feeling better. Is Courtney going to try a 3A here?

Well, I have a post on my blog about this! Kind of.

(Sorry. :slink: I was bored and it sounded cool and it also says that everyone in this event sans Mao and Ziquan and maybe Courtney is going to bomb, so I don't trust it...)

Dying to see Rika medal in this field!

(Though that likely depends on someone else I like making a mistake or two :sad46:. More skaters I like in an event, more problems.)

Good Luck with your blog, may it be active and well crowded. I never get around of making mine, but you motivate me to just start one :d

Sabinfire, I am shocked. You're generally level-headed, but I think you're living in a fantasy world here.

Asada will make mincemeat of her competition here.

I think this year will be all about the return of women to ladies figure skating. Enough of the kids.

Huh? All I did was wish several of the skaters well. How is that living in a fantasy world?

 Tontok must be joking, I think. A triple axel element is a double-edged sword for Mao in big competitions. It is very difficult for her to make successful landings whenever it counts, and it is also very hard to predict who will be the shoo-in for ladies events this season. Unlike mens' field, watching girls/ladies competitions is like riding a roller coaster, so thrilling and so exciting...

I sometimes think about making a blog too but doubt anyone would read it, which always stops me :dbana:

I expect the Russian and Japanese ladies to be battling for the podium. Of course with Mao as the favorite based on her J.O. performance.

Hehe,

as a very active writer at several locations, I can assure you that people read a lot of things, but most of them will just do exactly this, "read it". To get feedback is a different thing, most just consume things, without caring too much of actually replying.

Look at Ice-Network, there are hardly more than 2-3 comments at times and some of the articles over there are actually pretty nice and informative. Or at FB, you can post something and get thousand likes, but only 5 comments ^^

But at least some people take the time to reply, which I always appreciate if I post, but for instance a newspaper article, or a tv spot that you do, usually get´s like no feedback at all. I once published something and it had 30k of views, but only 10 comments or so :D

Can´t blame people though, I often read stuff at GS as well and don´t really join the conversation, but rather just read what people have to say :)
