2010-2011 Programs by Discipline

herios.. :)yeah, I meant a Rhumba, itself , can be sultry.. We'll just have to see..;)

I agree with you about V/M's earlier latin OD. I really liked the way they executed it for their ages ,but they were still kids, and I remember thinking at the time , "Imagine what they'll be able to do with something like this in a few years time." So here we are , a few years down the road, and we're about to find out. They've developed a considerable on-ice intensity, and I'm thinking ( hoping?) that whatever the tempo , the audience might have to be fanning themselves with their programs all the way through..

Coleen, i will reply to you on this subject on the ice dance thread for 2010, as I think that is the place wehere we have to elaborate about our thoughts in detail.

^ those are very challenging pieces to translate on ice. It will be interesting to see if they succeed. Well nobody can say they aren't pushing their comfort zone this time.

doris, we've been talking about this a bit on the ice dance thread, as far as I know so far, it's just adding two and two..but it seems reasonable..Some weeks ago ,when it was announced that V/M would be performing at Yuna's LA show it was given out that they would be performing their FD there, and they've said it would be Samba /Rhumba / Samba... The person who posted these pieces at FSU said the list was according to ATS..( Does this add up to a waddle and a quack ?)

Aha! found it.. here's the program notes ( I think including SD music )

I just returned from a cruise to Alaska, where I have only been able to post intermittently, and then only from a cell phone-I haven't had time to read the ice dance thread yet, and I'm looking forward to it.

That explains it, why you haven't replied to my question on this thread, I addressed to you:)

Hopefully you had a great time, and looking forward to debate with you the ice dancing season on the dedicated thread.

 Oh, Dai!...and free Javier...

Of the ex-couple , Shae is emerging as the truly talented choreographer ,while Morozov makes it clearer every year how undeserved his choreographic rep is.

Javier, you deserve better than that..flee!

Well he did choreograph Sasha's "Dark Eyes" program. I feel like, because he's so hit-or-miss, he'd be better off choreographing maybe one of the a given skater's two programs each season; nothing more.

Thanks for posting Dai's program...going with the latin sizzle like Tessa and Scott, oh my, what a great year I will have:)

I was expecting nothing short of spectacular from Dai as i know he would want to win the title at home this time around, as he has unfinished business and he is bringing it.

Javier's choreography is so poor that it looks as though he's skating to something else entirely.

What a waste of his talent. :disapp:
