:)What a great dance for them! Smooth..beautiful lifts...Boy the talent just keeps coming, doesn't it ?

And may I add..Maia's dress is perfection.Sparkly, yet simple and the cut of that skirt is sublime.

So, is this the Kurt choreo , or the Yuka ? I thought I noticed a couple of Kurt-like things there ( but they're both good at playing with timing..)

Anyway, I like this a lot , just needs a little more oomph. I expect that will come , since he's so musical:) ( I love the way he looks in the air..) Really, what has this guy not got ?

Thank-you. What a lovely free dance, true ballroom (foxtrot and quickstep) and if you use vocals, then use some which caress your ears like Nat King Cole:thumbsup:

so classic. watching them is so easy on the eyes and the great songs of nat king Cole..

Pechalat and Bourzat version of Charlie Chaplin could be by Michel Villard, but need to check. But in there is City Lights - Violetera, Modern Times - Titine, A King in New York - The loving Mandolin and I think Modern times - Smile.

I hope that helps folks....

I agree, his musicality shows through in this program! It's his short program (Soul Medley), choreographed by Yuka and Roberto Campanella (not sure who that is?). Kurt choreographed his exhibition this year (Hello Goodbye & Safety Dance Glee Medley) with Campanella, and apparently his long program is choreographed by Marina Zueva and Fedor Andreev to Piano Concerto No. 1 by Listz (uh... is it just me, or does that last one sound like it might REALLY be lacking some oomph?). Here's the fan site where I found the info: http://takahikokozuka.com/Eng/programs.html. Can't wait to see it all on ice!

;)No, I'm not worried about the the FP. Taka has beautiful line and position , Marina does classical very well..and I love Liszt.. Could actually be a cuppa for me..

OMG, I can't believe this! Seriously, I was just about to head to bed, as I have to get up early to go to a corn maze, et al. :D And then I read this, I can't believe it, this is my all-time favorite piece of music in the world, especially the "Ode to Joy".

Is this confirmed? Now I have to go in search for this! I'm listening to it now....ahhhh.....nirvana..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-mvutiDRvQ

I have somewhat hard time picturing Brian skating to suh music. That would be more than intriguing

I agree about Beethoven's Ninth. Beethoven isn't my top favorite composer (probably Brahms is), but I have always felt that the Ninth is somehow the pinnacle of classical music. It's got the entire universe in it, and all the best aspirations of humankind. Gives me gooseflesh from beginning to end. I just hope the choreographer is able to shape it effectively, and that Joubert can muster up the grandeur to express it.

By the way, has anyone ever seen the Bernstein performance of the Ninth that celebrated the fall of the Berlin Wall? He got orchestra players and choirs from all over Europe, East and West, for the performance. In the choral movement, where normally the singers say "freude," (joy), they sang "freiheit" (freedom). It was an incredible moment.

The choreographer is David Wilson and the music was David's pick...now I am not surprised.

The article says Brian had hard tume with the concept at the beginning, but in time he got more into it. I just hope he embraces this because it could do wonders for him. (fingers crossed)
