I don't agree with either Riona or Gabi getting higher PCS than Polina

I think Polina should have gotten the highest PCS in the first group too but Riona is on home ice, oh well

Question: Are leg wraps considered messy because it implies that the air position isn't as tight as it should/could be?

I'm actually not sure, but just looking at Gabrielle her position could be tighter but I think she needs to work on controlling her landings more (see: her 3Lz) because she seems to be getting rotation. To me a leg wrap is just unattractive, Midori Ito had one and her jumps were spot on so I don't think a leg wrap would be that bad a thing in the technical sense

Do I remember correctly they mentioned Li Zujin grew quite a bit since last season? She looks extra tall and skinny today on my monitor right now.

She looks taller, but not really thinner imo.

The ankles should be crossed together in rotation (side-by-side) but it's not "messy" otherwise. A leg wrap is just considered faulty technique and tends to lead to URs for most skaters.

To the discusion about PCS: yes, some marks may be qustionable but they are too close to compare and none of the skaters is mile ahead of the others. I wouldn't make a serious issue of it.

Yes, I saw a picture of Zijun with Tessa and Scott at Artistry on Ice last summer, and Zijun is about 165cm.

I believe the rule is +/- 10 seconds of 4 minutes . So as long as she finishes within that range, she should be fine.

I thought there was a deduction if you finished ahead of your music but I guess Gabi didn't get one.

Thank you both for your replies. Personally, I thought it would be unfair if you got a deduction for going over, but not under. So, I'm glad the rule does apply both ways.

As for Gaby, it was only about a second that she was under the music, so it probably wasn't enough for the rule to kick in.

That's exactly the problem: they SHOULDN'T be too close to compare. Polina was head and shoulders better than the skaters who beat her PCS.
