2014 NHK Trophy Ladies Free Skate 11/29

According to a fluff aired before NHK, Satoko was working on changing her take-offs to reduce URs, so maybe her jumps are jiffy because of that.

Looked like she almost fell at the end! And now Joanne's saying "Good girl" :scowl: Shame!

Not Satoko's best day at the office, but the program had quite a few nice moments. She's a good spinner and quite musical. I really don't like her small, whippy jumps though, and I think at least a few had URs.

Miyahara having some problems right out of the gate - hands down on the opening lutz with a double rather than a triple, and a badly UR loop landed on two feet. She also seems rather slow out there.

I don't know how she manages to fully rotate with such little elevation on her jumps - it's almost like she whips herself around with a will and a prayer rather then going up and into them.
Reminds me of Julia of last year.

Not her best, but I still really enjoy this LP; just so well choreographed and suit her so well.

Miyahara is out for GPF with that score, even if she finishes 2nd.

Kanako and Gracie left.

That would make sense, because the entries to the jumps were where she was looking unsure..

Thanks for the background info. Hope the reworking will payoff. :hopelessness:
