2014 Olympics Mens Free Skate

Thrilled for Jeremy! Way to get a personal best on what will be his last competitive skate. Regardless of his placement, Jeremy should be proud of his effort here.

I was thinking that too. A PB is a nice way to go out. He must be in tremendous pain--that was some fall. But maybe people will give him a break now (including me!).

I'm starting to get nervous. I hope Patrick doesn't fall off the podium. That would be my worst Olympic nightmare. I'd like him to win but I feel like it's going to be Hanyu.

You shouldn't worry, this ain't happening. No way. He is too much ahead.

I am still moved by Jeremy Abbott's skating. Just mesmerizing. It is his performances at these Olympics that will make me miss him a lot.

Reynolds' jump technique is just :slink:. That axel entry in particular... No wonder he hardly ever does it clean with a pitched forward, stalked step in like that.

Well I'm going to miss most of the rest of the skaters except for maybemaybe Chan, maybe Peter, and possibly Jason as well.

grrr.

Phil Hersh tweeted that Jeremy took out the loop because that was giving him the most pain.

I'm getting BBC commentary on the NBCSP through Comcast today....thankfully. It seems to be random as to whether they will use BBC or Terry/Johnny/Tara....
