2015-16 Grand Prix Final Ladies Free Skate

wow Ash had amazing skate???

I need to go & watch!:yahoo:

HA at the ppl dismissing her yesterday!!!!!!! they never learn!

Also Yay Satoko for winning silver :cheer: Still surprised that people don't consider her a strong skater or contender

Ok, well thank god the judges weren't on enough crack to give Evgenia a WR. I am going to say that I think Evgenia deserved said score and I think she has better PCS (other than SS) than Adelina had at Sochi. I think Evgenia has better jumps, and unlike Yulia, rather big jumps. She has good height on her jumps and I think she will be around for the next few years, definitely. She also has a lot of unique parts of her skating that sets her apart from other top skaters. Congrats to her on her back-to-back JGPF/GPF wins. Something last accomplished by Yuna Kim.

I believe Evgenia is the first lady ever to with the Junior Grand Prix Final and the Senior Grand Prix Final back to back, correct?

Results should be:

1. Medvedeva
2. Radionova
3. Miyahara
4. Wagner
5. Asada
6. Gold

Radionova deserves silver. Her scores were right, but Satoko should NOT have gotten a freaking 140.

Heh, that was almost a perfect triangle. Long names top, shot names bottom. If Misha was competing in the ladies competition here, he'd placed 7th.

I wish Ash and Gracie would look to Mao as an example of how to look youthful, classy and elegant when you're no longer a teenager. I love Mao's subtle, natural-looking makeup, and elegant, unfussy dress.

Again and again, please go research the characters Ashley and Gracie are portraying. And are you saying that a young woman of 24 should attempt to look like a teenager?

I sound like a broken record now, but this is just comical now. Literally every competitor here has been overscored in pcs or tes(or both). They're going to be in for a rude awakening with the scores at the next competition(or not. maybe there's more crack to go around amongst the judges).

Congrats to Evgenia, I really enjoyed that program!!! Overall I think the placements are fair. Had hoped both Mao and Gracie wold have good days today, but so it goes. All three of these national championships will be very interesting.

Perfection! What Zhenya did tonight can be described only with this word! She is the clear winner! I love her and I just keep loving what she does on the ice in every competition!

Happy that Satoko and Ashley also performed so well. Almost up to their maximum potential. They are clearly favorites to win their National Champs right now.

So happy that Elena holds onto podium. This season is her difficult season, adapting to her changing body. But still she achieves big things. That's enough to be happy and smile. She was so pretty in K&C!

The first three are all young guns. Mmmh...anyway, I'm really disappointed because of Mao. I mean, I kinda got the feeling that she won't deliver. Hats off to Ashley, what a comeback. For me the most engaging skate of the evening. Medvedeva is the deserved winner without doubt. I wish her all the best, but I'd wish the commenters and judges alike would stop reigning her queen of the universe already. So much can happen. Anyway, she certainly won't have it easy at home, with that competition. Let's see what the future brings. A bit sad for Elena, but she didn't deserve to be marked like Satoko so I'm definitely okay with the results.

I'm actually impressed they upped the PCS so much, it certainly was deserved.

In fact, it's still a bit underscored. I wouldn't be surprised if she had been a better-established name and this wasn't her first year in seniors that she'd have received over 74 PCS for that.

I'm really happily surprised by Wagner's PCS scores! Highest IN of the night...and that while skating first. She totally deserved them, IMO. This just goes to show if she could actually put together a decent short, she could be a world medalist. Frustrating.

Ashley should be on the podium - that was her best skate! Didn't like Satoko. I can't help but  about her tech score.

Is it just me, or does Evgenia's rotation in the air seem a bit loose? Even when she doesn't have her arm in the air, she doesn't seem to pull her arms in and it doesn't look as tight of a rotation as others', which might be why it's easier for her to put an arm overhead. Her tano jumps remind me a bit of Liza's, where the impact isn't there because they don't extend the arm. To me, it just looks like a sloppy jump. Hers are maybe a bit more extended than Liza's, who just looks like she's patting her head most of the time.

I'm more than a little sad about Mao. But yeah, Satoko!
