I was going to post a while ago that I thought Rika would get 2nd... but I didn't want to Jinx Pogorilaya and Radionova... those didn't have good skates in China last year, they were skating in the last 2 spots, and Rika was skating right before them, Rika had a good event in Finlandia which Radionova missed.

For me,

Elena had my favorite program (music, outfit, expression, elements), but Mao was clearly the strongest and most mature lady. Anna I felt, seemed a bit "out" if an element didn´t work perfectly fine, like an interruption, similar to Mariah Bell - this they need to get rid of, look at Kaetlyn, she never let go, this is how a skater must perform, no matter what happens.

I wish the ladies the best of luck for tomorrow, they all had great programs and tomorrow is another day!

Thanks. Atleast the scores aren't as crazy as that in Russia. Still love Porgo.

Can someone explain how that last girl got a 31 in PCS after falling and rolling on her back like a tortoise and her disaster of a program, while Rika Hongo only got a 30 with no falls and a beautiful clean skate ?

A question of Da Vinci Code proportion that is yet to be broken ever since Kostner's PCS in World's 2014 LP. Worth ignoring at this point.

Yes, and she also seems to be more stable psychologically. She took the fall much better than in past seasons.

I wish Hannah Miller was in the mix more myself but I'll just let the judges decide for themselves and move on. Her SP is choreographed so well and she delivered.

No.. but then why is it that some get more than others?

Typically judges give young debutantes lower PCS, which to me (i dont always agree).

But neither do I understand why some people get more PCS than others, and why some people are consider exceptions.

Because, artistry is subjective :l

There was a time when the russian coaches would be very firm on one thing speciaslly (along with lots of others Im sure) : do not miss anything in the SP.

I didn't 'get' Anna's programs at all last year but this year I love them.
So make a strong comeback Anna!

And once again Rika! Way to show you are not intimidated by the 'big guns'. She calmly goes about her work and adds some fire to it as well. :clapper:

Honestly some people I think just don't bother to read anything posted before before asking their question, but really, with how long these threads get and how much there is to go though, you can't entirely blame them.
