The point is that everyone is comparing Yuzu, who is 20, to Patrick, who is 24. Of course he's still developing. He's only 20.

He's such a respectful boy, major kudos. No arrogance even to his main competitor who he always compliments and even looks up to.
Now if only some people on this forum could do the same.....but I guess its a rare quality otherwise we'd have world peace.

Massive is an exaggeration... Orser would never risk his skaters going out with flawed/pre rotated jumps.

When he is caught on fan-cam greeting other coaches, he is always bowing deeply. Very respectful, he did that to Brian's old coach too.

some people say that Chan at 24 is too old... and you don't know what will happen with yuzu... it's not guaranteed that a skater will get better and better and better with age.. look at michal... he is 25... and he is not as good as a couple years ago... age is irrelevant

At 1:15, you can see Yuzuru was warming up and he saw Doug Leigh, Brian Orser's former coach, so Yuzuru ran (like a little penguin
) to the old coach and bowed to him. How sweet! I wonder what's Mr. Leigh thought of him? Like "what, Brian is coaching penguin now?"

His jumps are still a little iffy. "Effortless" is not what I would call Nam's jumps.

all i seem to remember is Kevin doing 5 quads in one competition... and also being the first one to do 2 in the short... missing him a lot... but it does make sense that kovtun and Jin would... and also fernandez.... someone is supposed to come up with the info. i wonder why they aren't because usually we get so many stats from GS members

Some skaters are like fine wines and get better with age. Other skaters are like Coca Cola. Delicious and refreshing fresh out of the bottle, but start to get flat and lose their fizz over time.
(I don't really mean this or any offense to skaters who have age-related struggles. It's the middle of the night, I can't sleep, and this age argument is silly).

OH, I love Yuzu's FP and SP. His FP is very unique and beautiful, so does Patrick's. I guess the point of competition has been long shifted from music choice/choreography(all proved to be great) to execution and performance.
