I agree. An elite gymnast has a much shorter career than an elite skater and it's quite heartbreaking to accept thatbeing 20 is ancient in gymnastics.

True. Admittedly, FS isn't that much longer, but at least more skaters last for more than one quad....

Must agree that they need to find a better piece of music for this young man to skate to. He seems to have some decent musicality but it's tough to skate to "elevator music" for 4 min.

Good for Margolik, but that music is like from some turgid soap opera, you know some kind of sappy montage scene, ending with a sunset on a beach and the like. Blech. But really, good for him. Best of the lot so far, by a significant margin.

Though some can last longer. Chusovitina, anyone? (And in this quad, Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman are back, Kyla Ross never took a break, McKayla Maroney is trying to get back from injury...onky Jordyn Wieber of the US 2012 team retired.)

On FS: Margalik will be at least 12th good for him!

I don't find Zhang particularly artistic... He just skates to "artistic" music with "artistic" choreography, but I don't feel anything from him. Not worth higher PCS than Roman, even with Roman's mistakes... I dunno, maybe he just needs a different program.
