As you know, someone who places 17th, 18th, 19th, etc., will get no more than 16 placement points. So it's a maximum of 16.

Oh I get it. I guess I was thinking of a minimum as in you get a minimum 16th or higher placement for getting into the free skate.

This is a general announcement to all Canadian and South Korean fans worrying about your two spots for next year: relax. Both of your skaters have made it to the free, so that means only one of them has to get into the top twelve for you to keep your two spots.

Of course, three spots is out of the question, but relax.

Not very possible, but what if there's a Mao Asada Sochi Free Skate moment waiting for her tomorrow? One for Gabrielle too please. Hopefully So Youn can get into the top 10 again.

Anyways we have the final two groups here. I need to watch everyone because these are all big names.

My wishes from this point:
1. Ashley to perform her best SP of the season (and hopefully place in top 3!).
2. Gracie to finally skate well.
3. Amazing skates from Zijun, Mae, Joshi and Kanako.
4. Anna Pogorilaya to get deserving scores.
5. Rika and Satoko skate like 4CC.

Wow, that's quite some optimism you've got there.

Well lets be honest here. So Youn did not deliver here today and other than 2 out of 3 jumps she didn't really stomp and perform anything with superior execution. When the music picked up for the StSeq she just kind of glided through it. Maybe this isn't the best choice of music for her. I hate pointing out negatives on skaters because there is almost always more good than bad to say but to be fair I'd have Haijin ahead of So Youn on just about everything and you guys are going on and on about her like she wuzrobbed. Why?

I see no need to compare her to someone not skating here today.

But we are making comparisons to those skating today. We see these graceful skaters on ice who're being nitpicked more so than some (which must I repeat?) Arm Flail-ers, and getting greater PCS.

I know I keep harping on about PCS, but it feels like I've taken a case for SoYoun and Polina.
