2015 Worlds Men Short Program March 27

How lousy the way they nitpicked over Adam Rippon. Okay, some downgrades were due, but not to that degree. Plus not enough credit was given to Adam for his great spins and artistry. Seems to me that Adam is simply not being respected enough and the judges did not expect him to skate as well as he did. Boy there is such little respect given to U.S. singles skaters. Adam is a way better skater artistically than a number of guys in front of him, and that should be better reflected in the PCS scores.

Sure they had to deduct on Joshua too because he faltered on his money jump, but once again the deductions were done with a heavy hand. And Jason Brown is a better skater artistically than Han Yan, Kovtun, Mura, Voronov, and better musically and interpretively than Fernandez as well.

Some commentators owe Brown an apology. Especially if he does just as well in the FS. They were so ready to anoint Farris... I love him but dude is inconsistent.

Well according to the international judges, Brown's best is behind Han Yan with an iffy 4t. The sport measure people by their best, and Josh's best is better than Jason. Just an opinion, no big deal. A perfect Josh or Adam with a clean quad is super competitive. Adam has the 3rd highest PCS so far, and arguably skated clean deserve the highest.

Josh is having some equipment issues I think...so some of it might be out of his control. I will hold my breath for any apology. Jason, as always, will let his skating silence critics.

But he still has to do well in the FS, won't be counting my chickens just yet!
If he does well in the FS or even somehow, out of a longshot, snags bronze, they will so eat their words and look stupid.

I wanted Takahiko to end up first among the Japanese but I don't think that's the case anymore, at least as for today :slink:

No apologies from me. I like who I like.

Josh is a much better skater, in my opinion.

But, as you note, he's had inconsistent results lately. When I heard he broke his boot so close to the WC, I was worried.

Jason is so much more reliable as far as steadiness of nerves. I just prefer Josh.

Not to what degree? His landing on the 4Lz<< was extremely obviously forward, and the 3Lz was suspect < too. That's not nitpicking, that's - you can't fail to rotate your jumps and expect to score big. Ridiculous. And I wouldn't have given him the difficult entrance on the last spin, either, though I did love the nice layback he went right into.

someone can tell me if the crowd went really ballistic over Yuzuru?? :):):)

Yes. Deafening. I'd feel pretty ripped off if I was Han Yan.

US judges sent out mixed signal with the controversial results at US nationals, so they sabotaged their own skaters unfortunately.

Did Yuzu change the light lilac part of his costume to a medium blue, or is this just the camera/my computer seeing it like this?

A sports psychologist should supposedly have prepared him for such a meltdown not to happen. The way he almost gave up in the end looked downright scary. What did Klenner do with him in recent months?

Here is an article http://www.faz.net/aktuell/sport/wintersport/eiskunstlaeufer-peter-liebers-wird-bei-em-sechster-13396024.html (in German/auto translate with google or the likes) about Liebers iin one of Germany's reknown newspapers. It states (time: Europeans) - last paragraph, that the psychologist prepared a video with Peter's best moments of the Olys. Peter was injured in summer.

Go Mura, Denis, Javi, and Yuzu!

(I had a dream last night that D10 and Hanyu ran into each other during the warm-up, so.... um, let's hope that doesn't happen. At all. :slink:)

godness, this is a hard pill fpr germany this time

liebers meltdown
Z/G ill
Vartmann/vanCleave bad SP

and this after many piars split this season

I don't think anyone would look stupid. Jason is consistent as a mofo and everyone knows that so him being consistent here is par for the course. Farris if he skated clean probably would have been over Jason. The judges were clearly willing to give him the scores.
