So according to some posters here, Pogorilaya had a great season, while she did not manage to medal at either of her GP events and at one scoring even 164. She obviously did not get to GPF.
And Radionova had an average season when she medalled at every event she entered except of worlds. No matter she did get to GPF and medalled there... Her lowest score from the season was 184.
Radionova beat Pogorilaya at three out of four competitions they competed against each other. One GP event, Russian nationals and Europeans. Whereas Pogorilaya beat Radionova only at worlds.
I would say that either both ladies had pretty good season, or Elena had better season than Anna and if Elena's season is called average, I am dreading to think what Anna's season would be.
Yeah, that's funny how some people perceive good or bad season by "one" competition, that is Worlds. A "Season" isn't defined by Worlds only. Anna definitely didn't have a good season overall, she had very bad first half of season (the NHK Trophy :hopelessness: ) and then good second half (managed to get on Team, medalled in Europeans and Worlds). While Elena had only one not so good competition: Worlds, but overall she had a good season both in home and international competitions. I'd like to remind how many GS users were saying that Anna, even after medalling at Euros, doesn't deserve going to Worlds, and it was all based on her results from season (which in their minds were super bad, even though she was still better than alternatives and she earned the spot, some were giving it to Liza based on her year before results...
). And suddenly she had a great season! :noshake: The memory of some is really short....
