I think Spiderman could be a good outlet for Boyang. I love his exhibitions because he just looks so happy to be there...I think a goofy happy Peter Parker on ice played by Boyang could really work and be very endearing.

Sorry that is my fault. You explained just fine--it just reminded me that I thought her music choice was interesting.
I think you're right. It is unusual to keep both short and free.
Normally that seems to be done if the programs weren't really performed because of injury, like when Volosozhar/Trankov were out the season after the Olympics because of Max's shoulder injury. They used both their SP and FP again because they weren't really performed for anyone. But no matter what the reason, I wish her well!

I have high hopes this will be better than his Bloodstream program. I do kind of wish he could turn his Cinema Paradiso exhibition program into a competitive routine.

The Shibs revealed in their media conference that their Sinatra/Jay-Z SD won't be using one single Jay-Z track, but it will instead be an original mix of his songs they and a professional came up with. They were inspired by the idea of an imagined collaboration between Sinatra and Jay-Z (who references Sinatra as a major influence in his music and in interviews) with "That's Life" being constant throughout the dance as if Jay-Z was sampling the song in the style of classic hip hop sampling. They also confirmed that Hokutu Konishi and Aye Hasegawa were co-choreographers of their SD. They then listed a bunch of other dancers they worked with as well. Massimo and Marina helped with fully translating it to the ice.
They didn't reveal their FD music, but said the first piece was something they wanted to skate to for a while. The second piece of their FD was music that members of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra performed for them and they've personally been working on the arrangement since early Spring.
And they said Stephane Lambiel and Jeffrey Buttle choreographed two separate show programs for them.

Oh no. I was really loving the idea of his "Bloodstream" program. Perhaps in a competitive environment he never would have been able to capture the sensuality and specificity of the music, but it seemed to be coming along. I was hoping he would do something special with it.
