Yup. I have a thing for animated films Like, I think Medvedeva doing EX to Sailor Moon is the best thing, I've been waiting for a program to SM for ages. So, yes, I like this music choice. Have to wait and see if I'll like the program tough.

I still have nightmare flashbacks about that kitschy Amodio program & costumes Under Morozov needless to say It can only get better than that albeit I miss Florent (with all the things that used to make him get on my nerves ... ). Coomes & Buckland King Lion was lovely on the other hand.

No, I don't think he was with Morozov then.

Checking Wikipedia it seems he left Morozov in summer 2013. Blood Diamond/Lion King was his FP in the 2014-15 season.

Denney/Frazier's Lion King FS was, I thought, tasteful and non-cringey. It was pretty subtle and I think that is why it worked.

Dated? The Lion King? The greatest Disney movie ever made? With one of the best scores ever written? Oh, hell no.

When reporting that Max will skate to Lion King, TSL did refer to Phillip Mills, but ... to me, it was not clear whether TSL was (merely) making an assumption that Phillip would be the choreographer -- or whether TSL intended to say outright that Phillip definitely will be the choreographer for Max again.

ETA, correcting myself:

I re-listened to the TSL video, and Dave in fact did say outright, "It's Phillip Mills ..."

Sorry that I missed the declarative when I watched the vid the first time.​

It's just awkward and plain mean to make them skate eachother's programs. CSA is making their pair's teams look tacky.

The new pairs have new programs... Just the new costume is not ready yet... This rehearsal is for the show next week in Beijing.

There's really only one team whose music/costume/programme info I'm looking forward to finding out more than anyone else, and that's Seguin/Bilodeau. They have had excellent programmes, both short and long, and excellent costumes in the past two seasons.
