2016-2017 Programs by Discipline

Our intrepid Glacier Falls PBP poster, Lenny, alas reported that he skated to a Queen medley for his FS.

I share your pain.:(

You mean Ross Miner is keeping both programs from last season? Wow, that doesn't happen very often. He didn't skate either program very well at Glacier Falls (finished 8th in Senior Men with a lot of popped jumps). You would think he'd do the programs better after having a whole year of practicing them under his belt.

I just watched Miyahara's LP and I love it!:luv17: The music edition is really great and I'm very happy it has Venus and Mars, two of my favorites. If it also had had Neptune, it would have been perfect but still, it's really great!
And what's with the -3Ts. Backup plan B and C and D? lol

I agree, Satoko's LP is quite outstanding. I do hope she isn't leaving out her spin in both directions though! Also, I'm a bit surprised they didn't use Across the Stars. It seems to be an obvious track to use, but I do like this end-product as well. :agree:

Has this already posed?

Kana Muramoto & Chris Reed JPN
SD: a medley of Ray Charles
FD: Poeta by Vicente Amigo

They made great improvement last season, and I loved the atmosphere they'd created on the ice.
I am very looking forward to see their new FD, which must be very different from last season's "Pennies from Heaven" (& Chaplin).

Mariah's FS is Gorgeous, Gorgeous! My only problem is with the musical cuts. Like many, I have my favorite programs of East of Eden, and when a cut isn't smooth it accentuates that a particular section wasn't what I wanted to hear in that place. But already she does the music justice. Maybe they'll get feedback and will change the cuts. I can hope!:)

My theory is that Mariah got mad (after the disappointment) in the days or weeks after Nationals and those Zayaks. Tara is always saying it helps to get mad when you didn't show what you can really do. Also, Kori said she got so far on pure talent. It looks to me like she's been working very hard since February.

According to a story just posted on icenetwork.com, Max Aaron is keeping his Nessum Dorma short program from last season.

From the same article: Angela Wang FP is to "In the mood' and Notebook soundtrack, choreography by Jefferey Buttle.

Oh wow, I'm impressed! Is he senior or junior?

Thx, TMC. Very glad to get a second opinion :). Happy that you too are impressed .

FWIW, Ruaridh placed third in Junior Men at Triglav Trophy earlier this year. But I have no idea whether or not he will be moving up for 2016-17.

Ruaridh Fisher GBR

FS Schindler's List; choreo by Drew Meekins

Video of the step sequence: https://www.instagram.com/p/BIqCpDaDbEj/?taken-by=drew_meekins (Aug 3)

I had never heard of Ruaridh Fisher, but I was quite taken with the video.
(I say that with no disrespect whatsoever to Josh Farris , whose FS I loved.)

Very impressed too, so flexible with his upper body and even if it's just a glimpse, he's quite charismatic. Funnily, his upper body movements reminds me of Giada Russo's FS red violin and her great step sequence.

Wow, nice. That'll teach me to take more notice of our Juniors! :luv17: Will be keeping an eye on him now, thanks!

This is very, very nice. I like it very much indeed. Will he be on the JGP? I will have to keep an eye out for him.

And here is a mini-video from @ruaridhfisher98's own Instagram account. Another example of his talent and charisma -- this time in a fun non-competitive program :dance2: with a partner.

We'll have to stay tuned re the possibility of the JGP for him.
Great Britain has only five JGP slots for men this season.
So far: one for the first event (Ruaridh is not the entry or the alternate) and none for the second.
