2016 Europeans Men Free Skate

Why is the men's long before the ladies when the ladies had their short first :scratch2:

Why is the men's draw before the ladies when the ladies had their short first :scratch2:

I can't understand the order they are doing things here at all.

I assume it's because they know that people are more interested in the Ladies, and so want to hold their FS when it isn't a "school-night".

But, I would have thought that Saturday afternoon/evening would have been the best time to get the most people through the gates.

Maybe they planned it this way so that the audience would already be there on Wednesday and Thursday, and they assume the people will stick around for the Saturday, because it's a free day, anyway.
It is one way to make sure you have a relatively full house during the week days...
