Maybe it's because they skated their SP yesterday. There's lot of additional stress at championships - waiting for the draw, training schedule and so on.

Well that's true as well. Although a day should be enough to recover, if you're not as used to it and have the pressure and everything, I guess it can be tough.

On that topic, I actually am not sure why men's FS is already. They could easily have spaced every competition out so that the SP and the FS aren't on subsequent days.
