Wow, Ekaterina and Harley are in front of Chelsea and Brian for the final... never thought I'd see that! Don't figure either will get in with only 18 points, but then all these bombing pairs are going to mess up the standings a little, I think.

Is this the first JGP medal from Australia? Quick google search says it is!

OMG!
Do Amina and Ilia have a chance for the final with a second and forth place?
I can't believe the results.

I'm checking in the result and I can't believe what I'm seeing. :eeking:

The Aussies WON the PAIR event perhaps for the first in their history while Amina ATAKHANOVA / Ilia SPIRIDONOV screwed up in their FS after their winning SP segment. :palmf:

I think they do. Last year there was a pair who was 4th and 2nd and they did got into the JGPF.

Wow, this makes for an interesting scenario for JGPF:

Amina ATAKHANOVA / Ilia SPIRIDONOV - 22 (2nd and 4th)
Ekaterina BORISOVA / Dmitry SOPOT - 22 (3rd and 3rd)
Ekaterina ALEXANDROVSKAYA / Harley WINDSOR - 18 (1st place beats Liu/Johnson in tie breaker)
Chelsea LIU / Brian JOHNSON -18 (3rd and 5th)

Coming up in Germany:

Anastasia MISHINA / Vladislav MIRZOEV - 15 points
Anna DUSKOVA / Martin BIDAR -15 points
Alina USTIMKINA / Nikita VOLODIN - 13 points (from this competition)
Anastasia POLUIANOVA / Maksim SELKIN 9 points

Atakhanova/Spiridonov should still be fine for JGPF. It looks like Alexandrovskaya/Windsor might get in if the top three in Germany are in the top 3 and Poluianova/Selkin get another 4th place.

Pairs is essentially the only discipline where that is actually possible (excluding major weirdness in another discipline)

Aren't B/S 2nd and 3rd?

So Ekaterina and Harley really have a good chance of making it--they just need one of those bottom teams to slide in behind, and at least one will have to, since there's four teams and they're all in next week. So... Poluianova/Selkin as first alternates then? I'd really like Ekaterina and Harley to go... wow would it ever be awful to win an event and then not go!

Actually they got two 3rds. LOL

And I realize that
Amina ATAKHANOVA / Ilia SPIRIDONOV - 22 (2nd and 4th) are actually on top of the rankings at the moment, so yes, they're more than fine for JGPF.

Liu/Johnson are on the BUBBLE. Like I wish they make the JGPF again like 2 years ago....but it seems unlikely....And the possibility of AUSTRALIA making it?! Has Australia qualified for the GPF/JGPF at all ever?

I'm okay with them not making it. I want them to drill on the SBS jumps. The judges clearly think they are doing great everywhere else but the SBS jumps are really holding them back.

The Austrlian team has a good shot at making it. Depends on how the other teams place in Germany.

JGPF is week after Australian Nationals so they should be okay if they make it.
