2016 South Korea Ranking Comp, Oct 14-16

Good attempt but 2A might be no count?

I remember Maria Sotskova no count on her second attempt in her combination spin in Youth Olympic

#37 Ye lim Kim Do nice step sequence first, then 3Lz-3T fall into 3Lo, then do clean 3Lo again!, 2A what a fast recovery and determine after fall. I admire her:love: finish her program at 2m 48s

51.01 Current 12th

#38 Young You 3Lz-3T(clean landing, but fall when she does transition) 3Lo 2A puts tanoes in all of her triples. Woow.

62.97 Current 2nd

i love that Young has different "bows" for her programs  she is fierce!

everyone did really well but for me So Youn stole the show!!! such a mature performance with fire in her eyes !! :luv17: maybe because i didnt expect it it makes it even more exciting

wow so low  didnt they accept 3Lo or is it all UR :slink:

It seems that they decided that her fall was a jump attempt, which invalidates both her 3Lo and 2A. Her third jump box should have been 2A. Her prompt 3Lo worked against her. Poor girl.

Baby An seems like the underdog korean babies this season, but she is doing great here. Junior world selection is gonna be an exciting fight!

if young didn't trip she would've been uh you know.. but good to see soyoun getting her act together

Wow it was a long day of competition but it was really worth it! The Ladies event was really fantastic, especially the last two groups were fabulous.

What can be said? It seems that it is not game over yet for the "older generation"! they still have to goods to give some tough competition to the younger wonder babies! So Youn, Da Bin and Na Hyun were absolutely great.

So Youn!! The moment you are almost ready to give up on her, she always finds a way to surprise you. Do you remember how she started her season in Manila at the Asian Open?? This was a totally different skater! So confident, so playful... she ENJOYED what she was doing! I think this Sp is perfect for her and brings out her flirty side. She was a woman on ice, such a mature performance! I simply love her skating and her jumps are amazing! Her 3S is a pure thing of beauty! And the spins are much improved! I'm sososososo proud of her!

I feel that, if NaHyun had skated in the latest group, she would have received higher PCS. I would have given her higher PCS than Dabin personally, and I would have her in second. Every time she skates, she becomes more consistent and more confident. Whitney Houston's song is a warhorse and it is so easy to get overpowered by the music, because it is so immense. However, Nahyun skates with passion, she skates big! As big as the music is! I love her interpretation and how she projects into the performance. Of course there are still areas which need work (get rid of the butt spin!!!), but if she continues like this, NaHyun has a bright future in front of her.

DaBin!! For the first time I actually ENJOYED her skating! I always respected and admired her consistency and her high technical content, but I never felt connected with her skating. Pleasant to the eye, but actually quite boring, Today she was different. She was actually selling the program, giving face! And her step sequence was quite memorable! Good job girl! I hope she continues to work on her presentation, today she showed us a sparkle of what it could be!

You Young: well, she is amazing as usual! I don't mind all those tanos because her arm position is actually beautiful. Shame on the freak fall on the transition after her combination. Nice, energetic program. I hope she continues like this while taking care of her health and her body. Sometimes I'm scared that her overly competitive and fierce spirit will lead her to injuries. Good job!

Eunsoo: Well I sort of expected it. It's normal to be under the weather when your last competition was just one week ago in a different time zone. She did the best she could. I feel like she was lowballed in PCS. I would have given her the same, if not more, than You Young. Hope she can fight back in the FS.

YeLim: such a shame that her 3L and 2A were both invalidated. She showed us real nerves of steel when she attempted and actually landed her 3L after that freak and out-of-the-blue fall. I hope that this accident motivates her to fight back in the FS. Go YeLim!!!

This event was so fantastic and the top ladies scores are soooo close! Tomorrow will be interesting!
