2016 Trophée de France Ladies FS

It is so weird to see the much softer shoulder and arm movements than before. Gracie's stiffness may also come from high pressure. The program is so promising, but she can't live up to it yet. I hope she resolves her issue by the time when she competes at Nationals.

I actually was immediately thinking something similar from the beginning of Gracie's program. She's starting with choreo sequence, and she's actually performing it IMO, not just doing perfect choreo steps. It continued through 2A. Then, disastrous fall on 3Lz.

But then ... she kept performing. That is new, for her to miss a big jump and keep her thoughts and face in the program.

I know the 3 jump count is terribly low, but she kept fighting for the jumps. Adding 2 jumps to her 3S. (unplanned? not sure). But, she fought.

I have actually thought all season so far that Gracie's trying something new .... make it about the program and the music. Then maybe she won't be so disappointed in herself if she misses a jump or two. (um, 3?)

Anyway, she's got months now to develop these programs in somewhat seclusion. She could well come back roaring at nationals.

She said in an interview that Yuna was her idol in 2009 and 2010 and she admires everything in her skating. She was very happy that she finally got a picture with her at Sochi2014, tagging #fangirling.

Sorry for the off-topic.

So sweet of her:) thank you for the correction.

Ahhh!! Alena is fighting too hard! Nice dress, slightly influenced by PC.

Wow.... Poor Anatasia. Those darn under rotations.

Not too crazily far off her PB though, surprisingly. Or her score from her first event. Kind of awesome for her to get two events after not even having one during initial assignments. Hopefully the experience of competing on the GP keeps her improving.

Tbh, watching Alena is just as if not more heartbreaking to watch than Gracie. It's just... my heart
