2016 Trophée de France Ladies FS

Ok the women didn't shine...

but at least I was very happy with Rippon's, Ten's and Javier's performances and some dances as well. Haven't watched pairs yet, so not much to expect there then? :ohwell:

I thought the men's FS was underwhelming also, of course not the Désastre that ladies were. I watched only the last of FDs and also didn't watch pairs yet.

I am in love with coach of Laurine, so beautiful! Is there any information about her?))

She's 162 cm, loves music and dance. Has a Facebook.

Edit: Lmao Sorry, I thought you were talking about Laurine herself. I don't know about her coach though. Maybe see if her coach also has a Facebook?

I still adore Evgenia, but it's getting to the point where watching her is almost boring. The fall today was a bit of a shock, but regardless of the fall, the rest of the performance is predictable, as are all of her performances. We all know she's going land all her jumps and win 99.9% of the time.

Is there anyone out there right now who could challenge a mistake-free Evgenia?

Personally for me if Anna P is mistake free and if Evgenia were mistake free I would put Anna over her. I prefer Anna's more mature skating, but it's not me and I doubt that the judges would do it.

I stepped out when Medved skated---didn't want to hear the sound effects. How did the Paris crowd react to her FS?

These skaters must have quite the collection of watches. Seems like that is always the gift to the medal winners

That's a good answer, I agree, if there's anyone out there currently competing who could do it, it's Anna. I think she would need to generally improve her PCS though, because Evgenia has the edge in that part of the scoring.

Evgenia's base value is higher, isn't it? So even perfect, Anna has no chance. With a mistake Evgenia still scored higher than perfect Anna. Well...it is what it is, no moaning about it will stop it and it is at least also Anna's fault as she doesn't backload. But who knows what will happen next....

Anyways...

Medvedeva 221.54
Sotskova 200.35
Higuchi 194.48
Daleman 192.10
Park 185.19
Lecavelier 184.65
Meite 172.65
Gold 165.89
Asada 161,39
Nagai 159.49
Galustyan 155.49
Leonova 141.36

She said in an interview that Yuna was her idol in 2009 and 2010 and she admires everything in her skating. She was very happy that she finally got a picture with her at Sochi2014, tagging #fangirling.

Sorry for the off-topic.

Yuka taking a picture with Yuna Kim at Sochi2014? Did Yuka go to Sochi2014???

From what I could see, they didn't even look like the type of watch a young lady would even wear...

Not sure about the TES, because Anna's jumps sometimes are a bit shaky, but I will definitely give Anna a higher PCS. There is class in her skating, with her wholehearted emotion and commitment to her program.

I dont think it is moaning - for example nobody moans when yuzuru breaks WR - because you known that he delivers and deserves that; and with Evgenia ( and she is a lovely skater) but you have also juniorish choreography, labored jamps and "rather unique" facial expression (again i rather blame coaches )

Wakaba doesn't look like a 15 year old, she has a mature look already. I think it was good that she's joined the senior ranks. Tbh, it pains me so much to say this, it hurts my heart but...realistically I think that Mao and Kanako are probably done. Rika Hongo, idk, yet but her prospects aren't good, she's got to redeem herself soon, she's lost almost all of the momentum she had last year. So I think the three ladies who are going to make it this year are Satoko, Mai and Wakaba. New pecking order I think.
