2016 Trophée de France Ladies SP

Go, go, go, Gaby,:cheer: So Youn, and home girl Laurine:hap10:

Looking forward to seeing Mao go after it, so to speak.

And I've started looking forward to Gracie's skating again. It's exciting, it'll be either a complete train wreck or gorgeous.

I also had the thought that this is a good placement for Gracie. She seems to do well and like being the first in her group, less time for nerves to build. So, my odds are on gorgeous tomorrow.

So looking forward to tomorrow's skating as a way to escape from all that presidential election drama!

I'm telling you, if I could give this 10 likes, I would. I feel the same way and there's already Drama with the people he's trying to give Cabinet Positions to. It's a US nightmare. Skating is like a sanctuary these days.

Cheering for Soyoun, Maria, and Gracie to do great and have fun on the ice!
:dance3:
Nonetheless, wishing everyone to have a good and injury-free time!

She's really struggling with her jumps this season. :sad4:

Mao can't push herself too much, her left knee is not good. At the same time, she can't quit or have long rest, because of her age. According to her coach, if she will take too many days off, she will be finished as a competitor... not easy situation.

Gracie and Evgenia 1st and second? :scratch2: Kinda anti climactic don't you think? Anyways go Gracie and So youn!:hap10:

Don't understand the heavy loading of popular/top skaters in the first half. I truly don't understand from a TV rating/viewer perspective. :scratch2:

The same was the case at Rostelecom SP for men's and now this. Seems I won't have to wait the whole hour of the show. :dev2:

SP starting order is determined by a random draw.

Poor Mao. Knee injuries are difficult to heal. I have one which keeps recurring, and I am no athlete.
Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise that she won't be in the GPF. She needs to be healthy for nationals and hopefully worlds.
BTW did Nobuo Sato really say that? Did he elaborate?

starting :ghug: festival

:ghug: for Mao - in general, for giving her best to us considering her condition

:ghug: for Gabrielle - surprise us all and get that podium!

Go Mae! Haven't seen her this year but I'm sure she'll bring the style:cool:

Yes, here is the post from Rosewood over at FSU translating what Coach Sato said.

"Honestly speaking taking a complete rest is the best choice. That said, she is not at an age that allows her to do so. If she takes a rest, I wonder if it can be the end of the story. So what we can do is to go with "trying every trick in the book". This is the current situation. She has a strong will to participate in the competitions. I respect her will so that she can accept things."

And here is another post about the observations of her condition from yesterday's practice.

Good luck Gracie, Mao, Zhenya and SoYoun!
I just wanna see Mao skate again no matter what the results will be. Her programs are just so beautiful!

My only wish here is Mao to get through both SP and FS without any further damage on her knee. :sad4:
A BIG :ghug::ghug: to Mao!
