2016 US Nationals Senior Ladies SP

I'm not Polina's biggest fan, and I do recognize a lot of her problems with skating. However, for everyone that doesn't like her realize that she is the ONLY US Skater who can consistently put 2 relatively clean performances without making everyone sweat. I'm dead worried for Ashley and Gracie, whom I don't even like but with Polina I was just relaxed and was like hey, she's got this. If she goes to worlds, which it's looking like she will, she definitely earned it, especially on tonight's performance alone.

Polina did it with ease in and out of those jumps that have been kinda pesky for most of the other competitors aside from a few.

I liked Angela Wang too, but her levels were not high enough on all her elements and she doesn't have the rep or consistency either.

Looking like perhaps Ashley, Polina, Gracie, Tyler, Mirai, and Mariah in the final free skate group. We shall see.

Katie McBeath~ Purple and black with carefully placed mesh cut-outs. Skating to "Sway"- I think it is the Pussy Cat Dolls version. Engaging performer. Jumps a bit shaky with hands down on solo triple and combo, but she pulled them out. I wonder if the combo was supposed to be on the Lutz. Could have a little more difficult step sequence.

THANK YOU! That's what was bothering me about it. The front opening made it look like she was missing a breast- like she was an Amazon that cut off her right breast to draw her bow easier.

Well, now it's my turn to be contrary and put in a good vote for Katie. She sure got the raw deal on tonight's draw, she's obviously happy with her skate, and so I'm happy for her too. I liked her choreography, although I'm neutral about the dress.
