2016 World Championships Ladies Free Skate

Wow I come home from a dinner, it's 2 a.m. here in my timezone and still two ladies groups to go? =O I will try to watch a bit before I finally fall asleep lol. Good luck everyone!

Is there any livestream link to NBC....I don't feel like leaving my room to go to the TV....

Those of us on the west coast would also LOVE one. If there was a room in ANY house to go to with the ladies competition right now, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Can I play a drinking game with the box of chocolates I have in my desk or would that just lead towards a sugar high and a lot of cavities? :p

Oh my god this is adorable. The Worlds2016 twitter account filmed Max Aaron offering Aly Raisman (Olympic level gymnast who lives and trains near Boston) a ticket for the Ladies' event. The wink is too cute.

(She can't accept because she's at the Karolyi ranch in Texas right now, but still)

Thx, Chem66. Very nice.

As I think you know, Aly is not only an Olympian, but also the winner of Olympic gold (team gold, plus IIRC individual gold as well). (And an individual bronze too, I think??)

She has been a friend and an inspiration to Max and other American skaters. IIRC, Aly was able to attend Boston Nats :).

Um...NBC rebroadcasting Gracie's SP but with an added twist of the arena announcer talking. It definetly speaks to my artistic nature.

That sounds really pretty too NanaPat. I wish I was crafty enough to do something like that!

It's not hard. Much easier than sewing sequins on bathing suits, because you don't have to worry about stretch.

The first ones I did were for team, and I was given a kit consisting of a sample, a cut-out "hat", and the sequins. By the time I had to design and make on from scratch (first duet) I was an old hand. Basically they're a curved rectangle, and you sew the sequins on in rows to cover the backing. There may be different colors involved, but they are all blocks made up of rows. The sequins themselves are on a string, and you just sew over the string to tack them down.
