2016 World Championships Ladies SP

it's Euro heavy but given the countries, I don't think there is gonna be more clemency to Europeans (Russians specifically) as none of those countries have strong historical or political ties with Russia.

I'm sure the conspiracy theorists can find a way to tie these countries together if they don't like the scores.

I liked a couple of posts, then quickly unliked them. After what happened in the men's short I'm afraid to even give the appearance of rooting for anyone :slink:

I'll stick to oooohhing over the dresses

Can april fools come one day early or could it really be real that juulia turkkila has switched to ice dance with matthias versluis :scratch2:

Ah, best wishes to all the ladies! I hope they all have a wonderful showing and put on performances they can be satisfied with

edit: also no crazy falls. Pogorilaya I'm lookin' at you!

NBCSP will be airing ladies SP live starting st 4pm, for anyone with access to this channel. It will be for groups 6 & 7, the final 2 groups.

I know that CBC has their stream, but they're also showing stuff on TV at 4pm, too.

I must say I like the this appetizer strategy the ISU seems to apply on the first groups now. Yesterday the men's first group was not too shabby with Grant and Mika, today we are treated with Laurine, Da Bin ...

Well, it was a pleasure to see Kirsten looking happy to be out there anyway. For some people it is an unbelievable accomplishment to just make it here. She does have some pleasant qualities but with her jumps she's never going to do much better than this.

Yes! I like the early groups more than the later ones- less stress, a lot of skaters that are happy to be here,....no lag on the forums...

Given how badly things went for Danni Harrison at Junior Worlds, and that Kristen is younger than Danni and her record isn't as good as Danni's, I was really worried that Kristen was going to get eaten alive.

But, I was pleasantly surprised. She was actually good!

Still would have preferred if Zoe Jones had got the slot. After all, she did come 2nd to Danni in Nationals. But Zoe wasn't eligible as she didn't do any Senior level internationals between 2002 and last week.
