I don't agree with how PCS is handed out but it's a numbers game. The judges are liking what they see so they are dishing out the points there. Do I agree? Nope. But I can't do anything to stop that system so let's not take it too seriously. The WR only holds that prestige and power if we assign that meaning to it.

It's not just fans that assign meaning to the WR. The media, the commentators--hell, the arena announcer guy just brought up Mao's SP. I think people have the right to be annoyed if the judges insist on declaring a program as the best figure skating has to offer when it isn't.
