I would actually encourage her to try. I always felt her current style of packaging shrouds her actual personality and charme.

Agreed. I think she is a bit like Gracie and is skating to what she thinks she is supposed to skate to and it is a bad idea for Anna.

Anna could get away with doing something boundary pushing. She is kinda an underdog, but also has great world standings. She can afford to take chances because she does not have a lot to lose but also is not a nobody.

Speed seems to be the gatekeeper for PCS in all the disciplines. I can see it for SS...maaaybe TR if you're keeping your speed for things other than strokes. I could even kinda see it influencing PE since speed has a dazzle factor. But it shouldn't have any effect of CH or IN

But what if the music speeds up Wouldn't that count toward interpretation and even CH.

It's kinda of a recurring joke (and I laugh at it, too) but the woman is indomitable: she's 69, she has had health problems in the past, still she commentates for hours, jet lag be damned, and she is so involved in her pupils' skating. I am already a sleep-deprived wreck one day into the Championships, and I'm less than half her age.

Hrm… I should know, but it’s some time since I went to school and/or thought about it. I think it’s a historical/geographical thing. Almost same languages in Sweden/Norway/Denmark. Norway has belonged to Denmark and to Sweden. Norway and Sweden is called the Scandinavian peninsula with the same chain of mountains…

I keep forgetting which are Scandinavia and which aren't. Probably because I read too much Scandinavia and The World comic.

Michael Bublé? Celine Dion? Jesus, how old are skating judges for skaters to have to use this kind of music to appeal to them? Even the fustiest adult contemporary station would find those artists too outdated.

I'm very proud of Johnny for learning Russian. As an American, I absolutely loved Russia when we traveled there on tour. It was actually much easier to speak Russian than read it.....
