Agreed. I think she is a bit like Gracie and is skating to what she thinks she is supposed to skate to and it is a bad idea for Anna.

Anna could get away with doing something boundary pushing. She is kinda an underdog, but also has great world standings. She can afford to take chances because she does not have a lot to lose but also is not a nobody.

Tbh I sometimes think the Russians pack her deliberately conservatively because she is undeniably a looker and they try to avoid playing the s*x card too much ...

That could be part of it, but I don't think sexy is the only out of the box option for her. (and she will be 18 this year so maybe they will relax that) For instance, her 5th element exhibition is not overly sexy - or at least not in an age inappropriate way - but it still works for Anna as it lets her play a character and, well play with the performance more. I think that could be turned into a free skate very effectively that would not be too sexy.

....but i still want her to do a Doctor Who/Rose Tyler number

It's not difficult, it's a fair point . I'd also like to see skaters rewarded for slowing down on footwork/spins/ect when the music calls for it even if it's the opposite than what the level bullets call for
