Hey, I have a question: What about the money won by Alina and Evgenia in this Olympic, and with all the money that Evgenia is supposed to have won in all her championships? It is a large amount, but for some reason it is said that the girls don't have money, or they would not have the money to pay for a new coach. Does the Russian Federation keep a% of the prizes? If so, it would seem horrible to me.

Why would they spent a lot of money for coaches worse than their current one? doesn't make any sense. They train at the best coach in the word and win everything they participate in.

None of them is stupid to leave the best coach in the world.... :laugh:
but.... I can get why haters are so desperate for them to change the coach... :laugh:

Can you only imagine how many desperate calls Eteri get every single day from girls who are dreaming to be her student?

well, yeah, i've heard stories about parents basically sleeping at their rink just to get a chance to show their kids to Eteri (don't know if it's true though)

As far as I know, it came from Megan Duhamel, who has zero credit in my eyes whe she speaks about anything related to Russia
 
Well, according to sport-express Zagitova will receive 13 millions (230 000+ usd). So it's even more than i thought :) AFAIK there are few different premiums: from Olympians Support Foundation, from federal government and from the region.

Can you imagine if Alina caught this cold 1 week ago? :( hopefully she will beat it soon. But this is a cold that does reduce her chances of going to Worlds.

And hopefully she will go mind her own business in the senior field instead of beating up kids with her 69 PCS in the free.

I suspect her recent withdrawal from SPB Championship is due to fear of bombing and sabotaging her chances of going to WC/JWC.
An SP without 3-3 and only 34.50 TES is embarrassing enough for a lady who were to go to the world championships, she does not need another score of 160 to embarrass herself further.

Earlier this month, she withdrew from Russian Cup Finals - Both JWC subs Gubanova and Panenkova were there, she did not want to risk losing to them.
 
Lol, I've just learned that desert spider can do 44 rotations per second. Imagine d. spider figure skating fans thread:

Well, considering russia pays for most of the training and medical care for the athletes, its kinda fair that the fed keeps a %.
Afaik, the coach also gets to keep a %.

Last but not least, why would they spend this money to get worse coaching than they are already getting for free?
