To be honest, I just want at least one of them to have a really great Nationals (I have to admit that if it was Mirai with a breakthrough program, I would be pleased).

Omg mirai can land a 3f3t and a 3lz3t now!!!

Nagasu, right? I've been seeing people spell Mariah Bell's name the same as Nagasu. Were they clean of UR?

If so, Yay! It would be awesome for her to have a dominant nationals where there would be no way the USFSA could keep her off the team this year - whether you are an Ashley fan or not, 2014 stunk for Mirai to skate well and still be left off the team.

Nagasu, and CLEAN!!!

I don’t think there is any predicting this one and sometimes a good practice or bad practice is anything but indicative of what we are in store for come showtime. Heck...I bet we’ll still be searching for answers after the SP. I’m just gonna enjoy the ride.

Good luck to all

**I always wish Nats took place in December**

She also looks happy for the first time this season. With the length of her career, she obviously loves skating but in all her competitions this year it felt like she was so focused on the technical content, so internal, that she couldn't deliver a strong performance no matter her choreo or music (which I quite like).

Although she's still not emoting out the same as some skaters do (whose performances can totally suck you in), I'm not sure she ever really did and I think that even without it, this practice stands up quite well as a beautiful work of art that you admire.

I've gotten all hopeful now so I'm sure my heart's going to be trampled in a couple of days but still, if she can make it happen... 2008/2018 US Champion has a nice ring to it.

Based off of today,I have some takeaways:
Ones to watch:Mirai Nagasu, Caroline Zhang
Most Improved:Ashley Wagner, Mariah Bell
Some Work to be done:Karen Chen
Most consistent:Bradie Tennell, Caroline Zheng, Mirai Nagasu, Ashley Wagner*
Climbing their way up:Emmy Ma, Starr Andrews

*Ashley only 2 footed the loop Sal and had 3 strong 3f3t, however, she did not attempt the flip toe in the runthru because of a scratchy landing. She skated thru the lutz as well, but was hitting it solidly afterwards(not sure ab edge).
Good luck to everyone in the short!

If practice reports are indicative, it's hard to see a team that isn't Nagasu, Tennell, and Wagner - but, of course, we'll see who delivers.
