Oh, for crying out loud. Loboda & Drozd are the top young dance competing in Russia that has been together from a young enough age to plausibly get to the top. Russia needs to stop self-destructing by convincing its top young teams to split up. If Bobrova & Soloviev and Stepanova & Bukin had listened to this garbage--and I remember well enough that both teams heard it--then they would not be together today. And you know who would be headed to the Olympics? Two teams that haven't competed two full seasons on the GP and would probably not get into the top 10.
I'm not usually into splitting couples, but sometimes this is necessary. I'm not saying it's L/D case, but I think she should do something to raise her level of skating.
