2017 GP Internationaux de France Ladies SP

Kaetlyn Osmond

Tech: A bit shaky today on the jumps. Opening combo was just a 3F+2T, and the landing on the lutz was low (possibly hands-down). The 2A had a wonderful ride out, though, and the footwork and spins are the best from what I've seen in the final group thus far.

Pres: Not as stirring as she was at Worlds or Skate Canada with this short, but Edith Piaf will always play well in France, yes? She was a little off-time here and there, as she tried to be careful after the opening mistakes. Should still go into the lead probably on PCS.

CoC is the only ladies event I've enjoyed so far for this GP.:palmf: I'm out too, gonna play some Zelda.

JGP was much, much better.

Really, junior ladies as a whole is quite a bit more fun to watch these days.

This was...rough. Reminds me a little of Skate Canada actually, without the clear leader at the end.

Room for movement in the FS, though.

Even a less-than-stellar performance of Osmond's short is sill a treat.

But on the whole that event was a snoozefest.

I need to go to the gym and try to work that whole thing right out of my mind. Hoping for better ice and luck for these ladies in the long,

The FS will very likely change these positions. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.

Well, that ladies short program was extremely meh. Lets just transplant everyone to Cup of China! :p

Actually, I wonder if the ice conditions are strange or something. To have so many top skaters have rough landings makes me think something might be off with the ice quality or rink tempature... not sure.
