Impressive technical performance! Solid 4Lz+3T, good 4T, and a strong 3A to max out the jump content. His spins were fairly well-centered as well. I don't particularly care for this mashup of Moonlight Sonata and... something else. The mix ruins the classical quality of the original piece and sort of just wails and wails, which really only shows Samarin's lack of facial expression. His composition and interpretation can be improved greatly, but it has the potential to be a contender and will help the Russian men in the team event (if he is chosen).
