2017 GP Rostelecom Cup Ladies SP

God, they butchered Mirai with that score.:(

I feel badly for Mirai but, you can't fall on BOTH of your combo's at an event with this many top ladies and expect a different outcome. The free will be a big test for Mirai. Even if she doesn't medal, if she can rebound with a solid skate she will keep herself in a good position for US Nationals. The last thing she wants is a repeat of 2014 when she passed up for Ashley.

The heartbeat at the end is so unnecessary. The crowd got on its feet during you know, the final spin. I pray they take it out, this program is all about light, effortless skating, floating across the ice. Why bog it down with this tacky crap?

they won't .. they need to take out all these extra tacky things... LESS IS MORE... ugh

My icenetwork froze in the middle and lost the whole chunk of her program but tech score assures she was clean!
I like the music. The exhale in slow replay is kinda kitschy or add-on anddoes not feel organic or highly classical.

She won with huge scores! Congratulations to her! She is absolutely ready for any medals on her way to the olympics!!

I wonder, did Mirai Nagasu break the world record for least points for a SP with a clean 3A?

Will Med crack 85?

:laugh2:

and they kept the voiceovers
:drama:

Please cut out the ghostly 'come in' bit and the weird ending, then this may be a program I can finally get with. Good job!!

Someone said something about poor practice? I hardly see it.

80.75!!! Underscore. I am almost dissapointed, is this COR? :laugh2: I think she looks too.

Oh boy the protocal is going be interesting. Wakaba and Karoi more than 10 points behind... oh really?!!

I never noticed how beautiful Mirai's face is before....she looks great. *stayingpositive*

yes, she's a stunner, the package makes her looking like million dollars, but...somehow I think that there is too much hype already about 3A - which is an asset on its own, don't get me wrong - that got too far in Mirai's head, causing a pressure too heavy to carry on with the rest of the routine, or messing with equal focus on the whole program. I think that she is capable to put out there a beautiful, engaging performance not counting only on 3A, not making it a centerpiece surrounded with flawed passes that carry out the excitement and all flow of performance. I do not know how it all works, either it's lack of focus after succeeding with 3A, maybe too much pressure put on herself to make all technical things perfect at once, too much forcefulness applied - I hope she will find just right balance and joy in all of that to be happy and confident about whole package and every performance, with or without 3A.
