2017 Jr Worlds Short Dance

Russia's S/A easily, easily, have the best set pattern of the night so far. That should go into first. Easily. :)

And that might be one of the chicest Russian costumes for a woman I've ever seen.

When I saw the Russians last time in summer, they lacked presentation skills and charms to appeal to the audience, but they have improved a lot over the time. Well done.

You do realise who Anthony is. The son of the 1992 Olympic Ice Dance Champions, Marina Klimova / Sergei Ponomarenko.

And trust me, there are far more unpronouncable names in figure skating!

Yes I know. It's just that last names ending in -ko are generally considered to be of Ukranian origins. Just like -sky/ski are of Polish origins. That's why I made that post. :)

About other "unpronouncable" names... the amount of time commentators had with Tuktamysheva is just :hslap:

The Fashion Police would have a field day this flight with the men.

Starting with Mr Lagha. That color blocking and odd Members Only-esque jacket is or should be an infraction of some kind.

I'm not a fan of these Montreal sock hop programs, but they certainly skated it well.

I don't get sock hop for blues dances ... what am I missing?

This announcer is not good with the names (or countries, in one case). It makes me long for PJ Kwong who did 4CC.

I know I brought this up earlier in the season, but I will do it again.

Why is Nicole wearing her bra on top of her dress? And over her belly, for that matter?

Seriously, though. I may not like the costumes for either of them, but I like everything else.

Nicole in particular is a wee firecracker. Can't believe we let her slip through our fingers!

Hmm, the Russians had a better set pattern, but C/P had a better swing. This should be close but I think the Russians will be slightly, slightly ahead.

Gosh, they are just both so cute aren't they? So much potential!

ETA: I would have had them second, but that's maybe a matter of De gustibus...

Anthony's twizzles tend to make me very nervous, but they managed the task somehow.
