Wakaba won two bronze medals in back-to-back Junior Worlds, and she skated amazing free programs both times. She has done poorly in some JGPs and GPs, but she doesn't bomb every time. She's not that different from Marin, who is also pretty inconsistent.

Bummer for Japan. If Wakaba had not fallen, she would have likely outscored Elisabet, maybe even Ashley, and kept the hopes for three spots alive.

You compare Wakaba to Marin? Marin who gave 2 back to back performances for the ages? When did Wakaba do one competition as well as Marin? Never. Does she have as much potential? No. So she's in a 2 -3 tier down from Marin.
