Judges are going to drag Caro kicking and screaming as far up as they can obviously. Kaetlyn should be fine in this group but everyone else better watch out.

Well..... once she stole Zhenia's flutz it's obvious that the next phase was to start to make a grab for some Choreo. The real question for me is can Kaetlyn perform the jump rope in the 2nd half

So sorry for Mai she was so rock solid in practices... I expect her to come back slaying in the LP though.

I guess there is no need saying it but the judges need to be chased around every block in Helsinki at least twice with pitchforks & torches for putting Wakaba behind Caro. Of course Caro was great, but Wakaba was flat out better. The only good thing about this is I hope it makes Wakaba pissed and she comes to the LP ready to kick judges butts :dev2:

In my view, she came as Japanese #1. So the judges thought it was okay to underscore Wakaba the #2, but then Mai fell and they were like 'oops' so they overscored her in order to not bury the Japanese ladies.

Plus, it seems like Mihara lucked out a bit with her score considering the error -- she could have/probably should have been at least a few points lower, in Zijun range.

Mihara would lead without that fall and deservedly so. The last impression wasn't good, the fall so her PCS was affected negatively, I'm sure she would have gotten 2-3 points more without the fall. She was flawless within that program until then, yes, it's not the most difficult choreography but her execution and speed is quite impressive imo. I really like her no-nonsense style. Everything she does looks right (except that fall ).

By the way, we have only about half a point between Carolina and Wakaba. I would have Wakaba in the lead as well but this is certainly not something that deserves some new conspiracy theory. It's figure skating after all. Judges can't rank the skaters, something like this can happen with this scoring system. And Carolina is the better skater overall.
