Thank God for the absent Rippons (surely she did rippons at 4CC?). They just did nothing for her jumps nor her GOEs (surprisingly).

But well, who knows, the judges really like Kaetlyn, maybe they will give Medvedeva a shockingly low PCS (like 32?) and put her after Kaetlyn. But even though she would still score 74...

no worries... and not trying to be patronizing either but i can't help to have "feelings" when I see such joy and pride from parents lil bet cracks me up mom or no mom in the picture though... she is so serious

Give Karen credit. Other then the borderline 3T she skated clean.

You know, I don't want to bring out the political discussions, but there are 3 scores who stick out as too high to me compared to the majority: Caro, Karen, Mariah. So even if you think it's no conspiracy, let me say that the US got very lucky with the scores. And I don't expect that to change with Ashley.

And while I really like Karen, her being around 4 points ahead of those 2 also makes little sense to me (even if they give her the combo). But after Mariah was 2 points ahead of Laurine in PCS in the SP, which is also completely unjustified to me, I expected that. It's a shame, because there is so much great skating here (Caro + Karen included).

Well ... Laurine is only French while Mariah is from USA so it does not shock anyone. Lecavallier also skated bit earlier iirc.

For those posters who think Karen was overscored....have you ever seen her skate in person? She flies across the ice and skates big. Streams do not do her justice.
