Interesting. I am sure it is not on purpose but Li continues to not be loved by the judges; the American and Japanese ladies seem to be judged very kindly and are in the running still for three spots. Now will the pressure get to the Russians. Will Gabby come through and scare the Japanese and Americans. Karen Chen skated very well but maybe got a bit of break on the combo -interesting if it was ur'ed her position would not be so high and US would have been in trouble. She might even make the final group? I thought Kostner was overmarked and while the skating skills are there the rest was blah and it doesn't work when you are blah with that "interesting" music. Her pcs were too generous compared to the rest especially Kaetlyn. I wonder if Kaetlyn would have got another point had she skated in the final group.

Evgenia Medvedeva:

Good, centered flying spin to start. Still don't like the skip rope in the step sequence but it's smooth nonetheless. Strong Tano 3F+Rippon 3T. Strong 3Lo as well. And a Tano 2A. A bit slower in the last two spins than I'm used to from her, but a clean performance. I suspect her to get around a 78-79 here.

I still think Osmond is more mature and fuller as a skater, but Medvedeva is smoother and more delicate.
