2017 Worlds Men's SP

Poor Graham..I missed his performance for some other matter, but given his nosebleed, I sensed he didn't repeat his SP at JWC two weeks ago.

Awww Newberry!!! Blood on ice. What happened.

I know Graham is the last skater before the resurfacing, so it can get sorted out then.

But, what would happen if a skater in the middle of a group was bleeding over the ice? Would they just carry on with the competition? Or would they stop the competition to clean it up?

And how would they clean it up? Somebody on their hands and knees with a towel? Or full Zamboni outing?

Just curious.

For anybody cursing the camera work... You can complain to the Finnish broadcasting company Yle, eg through their webpage http://yle.fi/aihe/artikkeli/2016/06/06/contact-us
(scroll down, there is a comment field)

If several people offer constructive criticism, they might inform the camera people and hopefully improve for the free program.

I thought they clean it up for safety reasons? Although I remember all these years ago Carolina had that nose bleed at WC 2013 just before Yuna step out and did leave blood on ice. Only at the ceremony Yuna was caught on camera remarked 'oh that was you'? According to her own weird superstition history, blood on ice was good for her. She had nose bleeds before she took ice in her senior debut, her El Tango de roxanne (or may be someone can correct me). It was certainly a great FS for her in the end in 2013.

Can Julian Yee make it to the Free? Why only 30 PCS... :sarcasm: With such a great skate full of energy+huge jumps and not make it, I'll be very dissapointed... :angry2:

I wonder if it may be faster if we post something here to GSer in the arena, and get them to speak to the camera guy with a google translater

Like you, I thought that it would be cleaned for safety reasons. But, I wasn't sure how they would go about it.

And I can't actually remember what happened with that 2013 incident with Caro. I'll have to see if I can find a video to see what happened.

But, first, time for food. And then snooker.

So, all the best to the remaining guys!

I'll be back LIVE for the Pairs.

Lol Zamboni to clean drops of blood, it's not there would be litres of it all over the place. It would be good for comedy I suppose if Zamboni came in just for that. I can't imagine it for real.

They'd clean it with some rag quickly. Definitely more sensible.
